Last week CTO & Co-Founder of Iris Automation, James Howard, won the National Mark Cuss Award for his contribution to robotics in Canada. Each year, Unmanned Systems Canada chooses one participant nationally to receive this honour, presented at the National Conference in Halifax, Canada. Years ago he founded UBC’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems engineering student team and became the captain for two years while the team grew from 3 to 47 students. This, along with his role in Iris Automation, was at the center of his contribution. Congratulations, James!
